Finance Assitant – Big Brothers Big Sisters of Greater Los Angeles

Position Description:

Responsible for the day-to-day bookkeeping and assisting the Director of Finance with daily accounting/operational tasks.

Position Responsibilities:

Data entry into QuickBooks for revenue and expenses
Manage monthly closes with closing journal entries and bank reconciliations
Update monthly reports with monthly results
Process invoices and checks
Verify timesheets and PTO accrual for bi-weekly payroll
Provide schedules for external auditors during audit
Assist the Director of Finance with daily accounting/operational tasks

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in business/accounting/finance
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Organized and detail-oriented
4-6 years of accounting experience
2 years of bookkeeping experience
QuickBooks experience is a plus

Computer Skills: Full competency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook.

Working Location: Location is based on a percentage of where work time is spent.

Indoors–90% Travel (local) – 10% – job requires travel
