Church Administrator – Second Congregational Church Cohasset, UCC – Cohasset, MA

Job description

Second Congregational Church of Cohasset seeks a part time church administrator to support administrative and bookkeeping operations, and to oversee daily operations of our vibrant and welcoming congregation.

Primary administrative responsibilities include customer service and coordination of church activities for members and guests, church communications (email, website & print), maintaining the church database and directing the physical operations of the church. Primary bookkeeping responsibilities include maintaining the quality and efficiency of the church’s financial records including its accounting, budgeting, bill payment, stewardship and payroll systems.

The ideal candidate will demonstrate a friendly and professional demeanor, a strong customer service orientation, have excellent written communication skills, and be able to plan and organize work independently, with careful attention to detail. He/she will have demonstrated technical skills with Microsoft Office and email, and confidence with operating and/or learning accounting, payroll, member database and basic website administration. Bachelor’s degree and 2-3 years administrative experience preferred

Schedule: 20 hours/week September — June (Weekdays 9:00 am to 1:00 pm). 12-16 hours/week in July and August to be determined.
